4:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Engineering for Kids - Digital Interface with Circuitry
Hardware Engineering:  Digital Interface with Circuitry (ages 8-12)In Hardware Engineering, students will use electronics, mechanics, and programming to create custom sensors.  They will become hardware engineers, using Scratch programming, Makey Makey circuit boards, and various building materials to design and test their creations.  Over the course of the class, we will make a whack-a-mole game, a personalized quiz board, and a device to determine the winner of a race.
 
6:30 PM - 9:30 PM    Driver's Education - Driver's Education
Classes consist of projects and classroom instruction. 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM    American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED - Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
Be prepared for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements.  This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session.  The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection.  Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the online portion.  Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR /AED valid for two years.  Important details about your class:  You are required to provide a valid email address to receive the hyperlinks to complete the online portion of your class and to obtain your digital certificates.  You will be sent a link to complete the online portion one week prior to the classroom skill session  Please bring a copy of your online completion certificate to the class (digital or paper)Please note:  Please dress comfortable as skills are performed on the floor .  Feel free to bring a towel or mat to perform skills on. Classes are conducted under the direction of Mike Andolina, Ready Response LLC.  Mike's sense of humor and expertise mixed with hands on training engage participants in a stress-free and fun environment!Northampton Township Parks and Recreation has partnered with Newtown Township Parks and Recreation  to offer YOU new Virtual and In-Person classes this summer.  Even though many classes take place in Newtown, Northampton Residents still pay the resident rate when registering through the Northampton Parks and Recreation website.  This great offer won't last forever, so make sure to Register Today!Need comfortable clothes or a mat for class?  Support Parks and Rec and click on the link below!
