Art Safari (ages 7-10)
A lion roars, the hyena laughs, the elephant sounds their mighty trumpet! Let's imagine being in Africa on the wild plains where these beautiful animals call home. This week is dedicated to the animals of Africa! Children will study their forms, their patterns, and the beautiful shades and hues of their habitat. Imaginative painting, drawing and collage will be a few ways we will create Art using these magnificent creatures.
Art Imaginastix (ages 7-10)
Princess fairy in pajamas,
French fries, frogs on ice?
Bulldogs, butterflies, beets and spinach,
tall rain boots on dancing mice
Children will have a wonderful week to imagine, develop, and create their own story, illustrate and decorate a unique piece of art. Brainstorming, collaborating, encouraging team building skills: all important to the process! The children will work as a group and individually to make their imaginative story come alive. Many artistic techniques will be explored and implemented in this project: paper marbling, collage, Geli print paper, oil pastels, original illustrations and more! Everyday kids create a new part of their piece. Take home a beautiful, custom keepsake at the end of the week!
All specialty camps risk being cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not met at least one week prior to the first scheduled day. Therefore, do not register for this program if your child needs to be in a program while you are at work. We can not guarantee that this program will take place.
