Intro to Film and TV Camp: On Camera Acting and Behind the Scenes (ages 8-15)
This is Wickline Casting's original course that started 18 years ago. Your children will work at cast and crew teams in this cool class/camp. Kids learn basic levels of acting, directing and operating the camera. Script writing, storyboarding and improvisation will also be introduced. They will work on lots of projects as commercials, film scenes, music videos, and public service announcements. Each day is different as they create their very own original projects. They will truly learn the basics of the biz.
Casting Call: Acting for the Camera (ages 8-15)
This camp is for the aspiring young 'actors' in your household. It is here that they will learn real auditioning skills by working with scripts for commercials and film readings. Your child will learn how to personalize characters and follow direction, block for camera and read with their 'co-stars'. Improvisation and ad-libbing (off the script) will be taught as a basis of making acting choices and trusting their instincts. Included in this camp is a take-home tutorial showing you ways to find acting jobs as well as a list of legitimate talent agencies.
All specialty camps risk being cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not met at least one week prior to the first scheduled day. Therefore, do not register for this program if your child needs to be in a program while you are at work. We can not guarantee that this program will take place.
