Stargazing
Come early for an information program prior from 6:30-7:00 PM.  Come meet us at the Pavilion located at the park playground at 6:30pm. Members from the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be there to provide information about the planets and share some interesting facts during our solar walk. They will be concentrating on Jupiter and Saturn, as they will be highly visible that night. They will also be sharing information about the partial solar eclipse that will be happening the next evening.  After the talk, head back to the telescopes to see firsthand the amazing stars and planets that light up the sky. Don’t forget to bring your own telescope or set of binoculars if you have them!

Keep your eyes to the sky!  As the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be on hand for public star gazing at the Municipal Park when the sky turns dark.  This is a free event, however please register on the website or call the P&R office so we have an idea of how many people to expect.  *Keep up to date on www.NorthamptonRec.com for notifications and weather updates.

You will experience first-hand views of the stars, planets and sky.  The Association members will share their high powered equipment, along with education and expertise to bring outer space to you.  Bring your own telescope or view through ones provided by the Association.
Bring a blanket chair and flashlight.  All ages welcome- parental supervision required.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
