Engineering of Power and Energy (ages 8-12)
Power and energy are what everything requires to move, turn on, light up, and make noise. In the Engineering of Power and Energy camp, students will break up into engineering teams and help each other to create unique ways to harness, manipulate, and use energy efficiently. Each day, students will have the chance to add a power-up light to their power and energy meter by completing that day's camp challenge.
Hardware Engineering: Physical and Digital Interface (ages 8-12)
In Hardware Engineering camp, students will use electronics, mechanics, and programming to create custom sensors. They will become hardware engineers, using Scratch programming, Makey Makey circuit boards, and various building materials to design and test their creations. Over the course of the class, we will make a whack-a-mole game, a personalized quiz board, and a device to determine the winner of a race.
